Mission

  • Enhance English proficiency
  • Understand oneself, cultivate independence, and the ability to self-manage
  • Expand international perspective, develop the ability to make friends with the world

Project Target

Chairman Stanley Yen believes that “the more resource-constrained a place is, the more it needs internationalization as a driving force.” By opening doors to the world, children are able to expand possibilities for the future of their hometowns.

In response to the overseas study aspirations of Junyi School of Innovation’s first graduating class in the summer of 2018, Chairman Yen sought unconventional pathways that would allow students to “change lanes and overtake.” In 2017, the Junyi Innovative Study Abroad Program (JISAP) was established to encourage well-prepared Junyi students to pursue further education abroad, including two-year programs at high-quality U.S. community colleges or at United World Colleges (UWC). In later years, some students also chose to apply directly to four-year universities.

To ensure that students studying abroad would have a local support network, The Alliance Cultural Foundation International (ACFI) was founded in the United States the same year, becoming a primary source of educational support. In 2023, JISAP further developed the Mentorship Program / Local Angel Program, leveraging ACFI’s U.S.-based networks to provide students with emotional and daily-life support before and after going abroad.

As of 2025, JISAP has supported nearly 40 students pursuing overseas education through self-funding or scholarships.

Junyi Innovative Study Abroad Program: The Unconventional Path

The COVID-19 pandemic is by far the greatest challenge this generation has faced. Will the pandemic make humanity more humble or selfish? We are still observing this, yet what is undeniable is that the world is one, and we are all impacted by the pandemic.
