Vocational Education
Education should serve as a guiding light for young people toward the future, not merely a reflection of the past. Vocational education ought to pioneer the job market, emphasizing technical skills. When vocational education teachers prioritize tenure and promotion, it hinders disadvantaged students from acquiring vital vocational skills.
From 2012 to 2017, the Alliance Cultural Foundation (ACF) provided guidance and support to vocational schools. We collaborated with four vocational schools in Taitung: National Taitung University Affiliated Physical Education Senior High School, St. Joseph Technical Senior High School, Yu-Jen Senior High School Taitung K12 Future School, and National Cheng Kung Commercial & Aquaculture Senior Vocational High School. Our aim was to connect them with top industry experts and valuable resources, fostering partnerships in the classroom to harness local strengths and create employment opportunities.
