History

Professor Hsiao You-Chih of Shih Chien University's Department of Architecture has long pursued the concept of "massive interweaving" — integrating social resources in design projects, teaching, nonprofit work, and creative endeavors. Following the "Ruiyuan Community and Ruiyuan Elementary School Space Development Strategy and Ruiyuan Book House Space Renovation Workshop" in fall 2010, a collaboration with the  Lovely Taiwan Foundation and the Alliance Cultural Foundation, this time he partnered again with the Alliance Cultural Foundation and Professor Su Guo-Yao of National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism.

In early winter 2011, they conducted the "Taitung Specialty Snack Shop Service and Space Renovation Workshop" in Taitung City. The aim was to mix students from both schools into teams, creating practical plans for specialty food and space renovation for local shop owners. The goal was to develop a demonstrative model that other shops could adopt, thereby enhancing the unique culinary and dining space culture in the region.
