In the Paiwan language, "hunter" is called "cinunan (奇努南)," which does not primarily mean hunting, but rather someone who knows how to share, loves, and is willing to give. Extending this spirit, the school's founder, Ahronglong Sakinu, proposed the three core values of the Hunter School: "being kind to people, appreciating beauty, and being friendly to the environment and land." Members of the school are not limited to Indigenous people, but welcome those who share these values, forming a cohesive, nature-based team with unique characteristics. They engage in various practices that transcend tribes and genders, embodying the spirit of hunter culture. In addition to cultural education, they also connect tribal youth, facilitate international exchanges, and participate in public engagement.
