History
Each year, Taiwan has approximately 2,500 to 3,000 new teachers (from preschool to high school) who are hired by public schools. Since 2017, the Alliance Cultural Foundation has participated in the "Annual Induction Training for New Teachers" organized by the Ministry of Education’s Department of Teacher Training and Art Education, in collaboration with the Teacher Training Center of National Changhua University of Education and major education communities in Taiwan. This program focuses on the needs of new teachers, inviting outstanding educators to help design courses and host four three-day workshops annually. Each year, over 100 innovative instructors are invited to conduct more than 400 practical workshops. The program not only transforms course content and training methods but also introduces new teachers to various teaching communities, encouraging ongoing professional development.
Goals
1. Design the curriculum structure and content for the Annual Induction Training for New Teachers, inviting outstanding educators to share their ideas and practical experiences. This inspires new teachers, helping them learn innovative and efficient teaching concepts and techniques.
2. Implement a cross-school collaborative learning guidance mechanism, recruiting mentors to accompany new teachers for one year to help them adapt to the teaching environment and extend their sense of educational mission.
3. Assist new teachers in understanding various innovative teaching communities across Taiwan through the training courses and collaborative discussions, encouraging them to participate independently and enhance their professional growth.
